Mahari
Mahari was born from the spirit of
「 もったいない -Mottai Nai - 」, Japanese feelings
of compassion for things.
Kimono that had worn only a few times,
Kimono that has never been used
and has a basting thread.
Silk fabric, gold thread, weaving, dyeing …,
There are a lot of traditional Japanese crafts
overflowing in Japan and sold cheaper than
fast fashion.
「 Mottai Nai 」
Designed to be 【 easy 】 to wear,
respecting the dignity, texture,
and atmosphere of the Kimono.
We designed dresses, Hawaiian shirts,
Yukata, accessories, and bags.
May the soul of Japanese craftsmanship
breathe back as much as possible.
1
【 We will not hurt the global
environment anymore 】
We use wonderful traditional crafts that have not seen the light of day.
Instead of using new 【 resources 】, we will use the existing fabric(woven, dyed).
2
【 Enjoy Kimono easily and quickly 】
We have devised a one-size-fits-all design that is as easy to put on and take off as possible so that anyone can【 easily and casually 】put on a Kimono every day that is difficult to put on.
3
【 Expansion of Employment of Balinese artisans and Japanese craftsmen 】
By operating a garment factory and dyeing factory in Bali, we can support people in Bali, whose tourism industry is weakened by COVID-19.
We also have many craftsmen in Japan working for us. Each Kimono is all one-of-a-kind.
It is necessary for the craftsman to reproduce
【 by hand 】when you want to make thepattern beautiful.
We are aiming to further expand employment for Balinese artisans and Japanese craftsmen in both countries.
4
【 Multinational design that mixes multiculturalism 】
“Yukata using Indonesian batik”
“Ao Dai using Kimono fabric”Etc…,
We have designed it so that people of various nationalities and
races from overseas can enjoy Kimono.
